My name is Katie Ahrens and I’m a parenting fanatic! I have two boys who show me the way and an amazing partner who travels with me on this journey. My boys have shown me the type of parent I can be, they taught me to parent with love, compassion, patience and enthusiasm. Parenting has been challenging and rewarding. As a parent we are in a constant state of mourning. Mourning ourselves as we change throughout this journey. Mourning for our children who grow so fast. But we can use this state as fuel! We can rise above and get to a place of pure happiness, pure joy…just like our children. Thanks for everyone who pushed me to start blogging-you know who you are.
